First and foremost I am a mom and a wife. I have been married to my amazing husband Chris for 25 years, together we have 3 wonderful kids. Preston- 19 he is a sophmore studying Business and Marketing at Oklahoma State University-GO POKES, Paxton- 14 he is our sports kid- loves all things baseball and football, Presley- 12 she is our cheerleader and dancer and loves all things GIRL! We love our pups Bailey & Cash and live in Arlington, Texas! As a family we enjoy traveling together, cooking, adventures and our Jesus Christ!
I began my journey into the real estate industry at the age of 20. I started in Property Management as a leasing agent, working my way up to Property Manager. I excelled in new construction, lease up communities, managing and overseeing 500+ unit rehab projects and worked solely for investors and their interests. I was recognized along the way and given several prestigious awards over my career.
In 2010, I took on a job in Commercial Real Estate on a 4 block project in Downtown Austin, Texas! This was one of my most favorite projects expanding my knowledge in mixed use developments- learning restaurant build outs, commercial leasing and managing partnerships with the City. We helped develop and build the 2nd Street District in Downtown, a few years later would be surrounded by the Luxurious W Hotel. It is a destination spot in Downtown Austin and I am proud to have been a part of this.
Fast forward to 2021- My love and passion for helping people lead me to go back to school and obtain my Residential Real Estate License. I started my career with a boutique brokerage in Mansfield, Texas- learning all the ins and outs of how to care and take the best care of my clients and built the foundation to what would be the start of a very successful real estate career. I moved to 6th Ave Homes in 2022 to continue to grow, learn and expand my knowledge while being surrounded by some of the most Elite Agents in DFW. I was awarded Agent of the year in 2023, which has been the top achievement of my career.
I describe my approach to my clients most empathetic. Real Estate is a roller coaster of emotions. Whether it’s the excitement and anticipation of buying your first home, the overwhelming emotions of selling your childhood home or downsizing your current home, excitement of your first or 10th investment property or just the feeling of ready to move on from your current home, I am here to help. How do I get started?
The best place to start is by having a consultation with a real estate professional and coming up with a game plan. Many times my clients will reach out 3-12 months before making a real estate decision to come up with a plan. This is a free consultation where we talk about what the most strategic real estate move for you could be.
Is now the right time to buy / sell?
The answer is, it depends. It depends what your needs are. Questions like, how long will you stay in the house? if you sell where will you going to go? How much equity do you have in the property? Generally speaking, we all know that the market goes up and down, but generally an upward trend. I think most importantly, it’s not timing the market correctly, but rather, how much time you have in the market that matters. I’ve seen many people sit on the sidelines waiting for the perfect timing
Do I need a 20% down payment to buy my first home?
Absolutely not! Most first time home buyers use a FHA loan requiring 3.5% down payment. Even certain areas of DFW qualify for a 0% down payment USDA loan.
How long does the process take?
When buying, my clients normally view homes for between 2-4 weeks before going under contract and closing & possession 30-45 days later. I normally recommend people giving themselves 70-90 days for the entire process.
When selling, I recommend having a consultation earlier, rather than later. This will give us time to run reports to correctly estimate how long it will take before your home sells in the current market. Each neighborhood is a different market resulting in a different timeline to sell your home
